Maria Teresa Facchinetti
Nata a Roma, Maria Teresa è un architetto con licenza italiana e newyorkese. Laureata presso la facoltà di architettura consegue la Specializzazione in Bio Architectura presso l'Università “La Sapienza” di Roma e un Master in Environmental Planning presso il Pratt Insitute di New York. Si trasferisce a Londra e successivamente a New York per dieci anni dove lavora come architetto progettista per Kiss+Cathcart architects leader in Sustainable and Productive Integrated Architecture. Maria Teresa è una professionista grintosa con spiccata capacità di problem solving e creatività oltre che una solida esperienza tecnica e progettuale internazionale. Progettista e coordinatore della sicurezza nei cantieri, segue l'evoluzione del progetto dall'idea iniziale alla fase di realizzazione e si occupa di tutti gli aspetti progettuali con particolare attenzione ai materiali e ai dettagli. Appassionata di musica, psicologia e yoga è responsabile insieme a Luigi della clientela internazionale.

Born in Rome, Maria Teresa Facchinetti is a registered architect in Italy and in New York State. She received a Master degree in Architecture and a post-degree specialization in Eco-Architecture from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome and a Master degree in Environmental System Management from the Pratt Institute of New York. Currently based in Rome, she lived first in London and then in New York for ten years where she worked as project architect for Kiss+Cathcart architect a leading firm in Sustainable and Productive Integrated Architecture. Maria Teresa is an architect with strong problem solving skills, creativity as well as a solid international technical and design experience. She closely follows the evolution of the project from the initial idea trough construction and deals with all design and construction aspects with a particular attention to materials and details. She loves music, psychology, yoga and with together with Luigi she is responsible for the international clientele.

L'intervento riguarda un appartamento sito all'ultimo piano di un fabbricato degli anni '60. A prima vista anonimo e buio, l'immobile viene completamente ristrutturato creando una zona living con angolo cucina a vista e creando una nuova e più funzionale connessione con l'ampio terrazzo, prima scarsamente visibile dall'interno. Viene creata una nuova porta finestra che consente la vista del terrazzo dall'interno del salone nonchè una nuova illuminazione naturale dello stesso. I colori esterni vengono rinnovati conferendo all'immobile un nuovo sapore. I materiali all'interno sono il legno a pavimento che si estende anche fino alla zona notte ed al bagno. Il bagno viene completamente riconfigurato inserendo una doccia sotto finestra con ampio cristallo. L'atmosfera è di un ambiente fresco, dinamico ed accogliente.

The apartment is located on the top floor of a 1960s building. Originally anonymous and dark, the property is completely renovated, creating a living area with an open kitchen corner and a new and more functional connection with the large terrace, previously barely visible from the inside. A new French window is created which provides a view of the terrace from inside the lounge. The external colors are renewed giving the property a new flavor. The interior finishes feature a warm wooden floor and light paint on the walls. The bathroom is completely reconfigured by inserting a shower under the window with a large glass door. The atmosphere is fresh, dynamic and welcoming.
